First Female Aviator to Fly Solo across Atlantic Ocean: Ms Amelia Mary Earhart

Everyone would be surprised to know how can a female be so passionate for Aviation even in today’s era  where women are given equal opportunity. The true motivation comes from a long way which is out of passion and successful lifestyle. Well I want you to take you through an awesome experience of  Ms. Amelia Mary Earhart in Aviation History.
Looking at her life story, Amelia developed a passion for adventure at a young age. Though her first flying experience was in her twenties. In 1928, she became the first female passenger to cross the Atlantic Ocean by airplane, since then she was counted as a world recorder winner and was counted among celebrities. From then she moved solo for flying aircraft. Later on 20th May 1932, piloting a Lockheed Vega 5B, Earhart made a nonstop solo transatlantic flight and became the first woman to achieve such a feat. Her accomplishment was absolutely focussed on moving ahead to reach the 4 corners of the world.

A Part from Her Crazy Achievements and Passion for Aviation

Most of the people by 1930 knew Earhart as a woman full of passion and world record breaker in flying airplanes along with achieving records one after another. With getting so many awards and national to international certificates, in 1935, Earhart became a visiting faculty member at Purdue University as an advisor to young and professional learners at aeronautical engineering college and a career counsellor to women students across her visiting areas.
Moreover, she was one of the members of the National Woman's Party and was supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment. This was much surprising and valuable for every woman who looked on her for Aviation Career growth and advise.

Women must try to do things as men have tried. When they fail, their failure must be but a challenge to others.” –Amelia Earhart

My First Solo Experience

We never forget the first things we do in our lives. Be it the first day of our college, our first love or the first day of our dream job. The ones who dream with open eyes and successfully convert their dream into reality actually have a remarkable place for that moment in their life. Well, same is the case with me. Be it toys or sketches all I could think of was air jets, sky and clouds. I just wanted to fly high in the sky. I still remember the goosebumps i felt when i was getting ready for my first solo flight. However, the joy of spreading my wings in an open sky was above every fear. I was numb, and my legs were shivering when i landed, but that happiness of living my aspiration was beyond compare. It is been so many years, but my love for flying is still the same. I enjoy my every flight, just like it is my first one. This love is simply eternal, and everyone who is privileged to convert their dream into reality can feel the hunch.

“We all can  learn from Ms. Earhart’s personality that she had this burning desire to distinguish herself from rest of the world. She was intelligent and competent pilot who never panicked or lost her nerve. She recognized her limitations and continuously worked to improve her skills. She strove to be an example of courage, intelligence and self-reliance. She hoped her influence would help topple negative stereotypes about women and open doors for them in every field.”
