Wishing You an International Flight Attendant Day 2020: Real Time Flight Heroes!

Today wishing all my Cabin Crew team an International Flight Attendant Day! Celebrating your professional day is something I always feel proud of. Few friends who already know me well are now closer to my heart.
The day is celebrated to recognise the work and dedication of the members of the flight crew who work hard to provide care and comfort to the passengers for their safe travel. Even at times when the situation is out of control cabin crew handles it well. Yes, it is unlike different job then a normal office job but cabin crew works constantly to guarantee safe flights to the passengers. Being, a Captain, a part of the team, I feel proud to share my love and blessings to all flight attendants.

Since there are so many experiences with my teammates, I remember few stories to share. For all readers! to be very realistic then what you can google about training and all about cabin crew team. Their job is just more than a helper or a serving person. Flight attendants have loads of work to do, they are ever ready to face challenges like longer flights, troublesome passengers, sudden accidents met while taking off or flying or landing the plane. THEY ARE TRAINED TOUGH TO SAVE LIVES.

Right from Health Effects to High Security Risk!
Now here is the timeline experience with one of the training sessions for Cabin Crew Staff.

“Life- Saving Onboard than Just Drinks and Food Service on Flights.”

And she begins….
The watch was counting it’s 90 seconds, Me along with my team had to evacuate everyone and get out of the plane, as the plane was about to sink. NO TIME! Good enough everyone was safe, nobody got hurt! Not even one person. This was the very first practical test for flight attendants.
We had to put the helmets, then we were put in a real fire that burst in the fake plane. We screamed out of our belly, “Un-buckle your seat belts, put your life vest on!” We all jumped into the ocean (Pool). And later we had to give a signal, “Survival in the desert” with SOS Signals. This could be the toughest part for real incident, yet this is how we are prepared for the best of life challenges while flying high and not forgetting our feet have to touch the surface of the earth to live many years of our life.
If you do not pass this test, you literally fail as a flight attendant! Said one of my seniors, this is not yet finished.”
Later we also had to be trained practically for the final test, we did CPR that is mouth to mouth for sudden heart attack patient. From first aid trainings to even delivering a baby. My Ghosh! It’s that the beauty of living of every flight attendant? Happy to be one of them….!
